L & O
There is an early Ryanair flight from Stansted to Perugia on Wednesday 2nd September (see flight info here), arriving around midday. From Perugia Airport it is approximately a 30–35 minute journey to the venue. Travel options include hiring a car, taking the local bus for about €4 (departure at 2.30pm on that day - bus routes might change), or a taxi/transfer at around €50–70. There is also the option to fly out on Tuesday evening and stay overnight at the hotel or at a nearby airport hotel.
If Stansted is not convenient, another option is to fly into Rome, which has more frequent flights from a wider range of London airports (including Luton) and Birmingham. From Rome, the journey to the venue takes around 1.5–2 hours by car, 60–90 minutes by train, or by bus at a cost of around €19–22.
Please note that Birmingham does not have direct flights to Perugia, so Rome will be the most suitable airport if travelling from there.
The venue will accommodate all of our guests and is offering a special rate for the two nights of our wedding celebrations.
Accommodation cost: £200 per person for the two-night stay. (This payment won’t be due until August 2026.) PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS DIRECTLY WITH THE VENUE, IT WILL BE DONE THROUGH US. **If you would like to stay on the Friday night as well, this will be at an additional cost and will need to be arranged separately.
We’ll also be staying the Friday evening. During the day we’ll be relaxing by the pool and organising a casual brunch in town for anyone who would like to join us—just let us know if you’re in so we can plan accordingly.
This is also where our welcome party, wedding day, and optional day-after celebrations will all take place, making it the heart of the weekend.
The venue can organise transfer to and from the airport if required. Please let us know if this is something you will need and we can speak them to arrange this for you.
A common question is whether you can take photos and videos, and post them.
We want everyone to be fully present and enjoy the day with us, but of course you are welcome to take photos and videos. We just kindly ask that during the ceremony you keep phones and cameras tucked away—our photographer and videographer will capture all the special moments for us to share afterwards.
Throughout the rest of the celebrations, please feel free to take photos and videos, but we just ask that you don’t share any on social media (especially of the bride’s dress!!) until the we have posted first. When you do we’d love for you to tag us or share your photos with us so we can enjoy your memories too!
There will be pre-paid beverages available throughout the two days, with some cocktails occasionally sprinkled in for good measure.
At our welcome party you’ll find a spread of tasty appetizers, wood-fired pizzas, fresh seasonal vegetables, and ice cream for dessert. Complimentary water and bottles of wine will be available throughout the evening, and for anyone fancying something different, the bar will also be open for you to purchase your favourite drinks.
On our wedding day, food and drink will be on offer after the ceremony, where we’ll celebrate with a buffet full of delicious food, along with complimentary wine and two cocktails each. Dinner will be a three-course meal with an entrée, first course, and second course plus a side dish, served with wine for the table. We’ll finish the meal with our wedding cake before the party begins.
After dinner, join us poolside for some dancing where there will be an open bar for 4 hours for you to enjoy!
Please Note: Invite-Only Wedding
We’re so excited to celebrate our special day with our closest family and friends! Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests who are formally invited. We kindly ask that you do not bring a plus one unless they are specifically named on your invitation. And we respectfully ask that our wedding be enjoyed as an adults-only event. Thank you for understanding!
We will be celebrating our wedding in the beautiful hilltop town of Todi, right in the heart of Umbria — also known as the “green heart of Italy.”
Our venue, Monastero Santa Margherita, is tucked just outside Todi’s historic center. This former monastery is full of character and surrounded by incredible views of the countryside — a quiet, beautiful spot to celebrate with all of you.
While You’re Here If you have some time to explore, there’s so much to enjoy in and around Todi:
Stroll through the old town – Wander the cobbled streets, check out Piazza del Popolo, and grab a coffee at a café.
Wine + Olive Oil Tastings – Umbria is known for both, and there are great local spots if you're up for a tasting (ask us or the venue for tips).
Day Trips – Orvieto, Assisi, and Perugia are all nearby and well worth a visit if you're extending your stay.
Whether you're just here for the wedding celebrations or making a longer trip of it, we hope you get a chance to soak in everything this special little corner of Italy has to offer.
